I found this cool "Pixar" Ikea lamp in the street. It wasn't in a good shape so I took it in and fixed it!
If you want to do the same or just give a lamp a fresh paint coat, follow these steps: First thing, before we dismantle it, take a picture so you can remember how it was assembled in the first place.
Just Look at those scratches, bent metal and for some reason steel wire.
Take your favorite Philips screwdriver and go to town.
Tip: we have a few screws and nuts on this lamp, after taking a screw apart, keep it together with the washer and the nut.
Once you have all the parts, it's time to mask before paint.
Mask the inside of the lamp's head and the two silver "handles".I used "Rust-Oleum" 2X spray paint. It's awesome! Heirloom white for the black parts.

Aqua stain for the silver parts. Spray all outside on a cardboard box.
I changed the black power cable to a white one.
When you put the cable back in, first insert the cable on to the plastic ends and them thru the metal beams.
I decided to put the switch on top for better reachability. And final the result!
And final the result!
Suggested materials:
