As in a picture or on a garment or tote bag... Never Wet may work... but you need to test it on a part of the item where it won't show first... to make sure the print will not bleed.
I'd apply a coat of wipe on polyurethane with a soft cloth (old t-shirt / cheese cloth) . It's oil based and will provide the protection you're looking for. Best of luck.
To make your canvas waterproof, you will need to apply polyurethane on it. You may even want to apply a couple coats but be sure to let it cure between coats.
I would use a spray-on weatherproofing like Coleman's .... https://www.campingcomfortably.com/coleman-water-repellant-aeorsol-spray.html?utm_source=googlepepla&utm_medium=adwords&id=85785475944&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvabPBRD5ARIsAIwFXBnbwS6osj35YYK0HPEhuVzPuNQA4eTe1s9UvZzkW_zaYUwjN0UVYHAaAls4EALw_wcB I buy it at True Value hardware store
EithER spray it with clear spray paint or put a coat or two of polyurethane over it. I'd spray It, let it dry and respray it. Be sure you're in a good ventilated area. Good luck!
Thank You!
