Can you lay pego flooring over ceramic tile?

  • You can, but I wouldn't. Too much of an elevation change and creates an awkward transition and tripping hazard.

    yes,you can as long as the existing floor is even,follow the recommended procedures with the under layment

    my sister just put this flooring over her tile floor. Looks exactly like wood and is guaranteed for life. Hers has a beachy look and I just love it.     Was new baseboarding installed to accommodate the new height of the flooring, and how are the transition areas, and any adjoining doorways managed?

    I've put in Pergo before and it's very easy and can go over just about anything. You would have to make sure your ceramic tile is perfectly level and in most cases that's an impossible outcome for tile. If you have uneven tile it will affect the way the ergo will lay and cause it to buckle.
