Yes, wait until February.
Depends on where your at. I usually wait until frost hits once then trim back to about 6 inches. If you are in the Northern part of the country you have gotten considerably cooler and may even have had frost so now would be a good time. Note though that according to Knockout tag they prefer trimming in the spring. Don't know why but it has worked for me so far.
You can trim them now to keep tidy looking, pruning is done in late winter to early spring.
