Birdies wanted! Gourd house - free rent!

Is this a good position to hang my gourd bird house? Or should I move it up in a tree where it won't sway in the wind as much? Thanks!

Many birds prefer to have the birdhouse be where they can perch from a branch or shrub and check out the birdhouse. I find that any birdhouse that sways keeps the birds away. Many birds will not build a house in a birdhouse or gourd that is not 'clean' either-so cleanouts are essential in birdhouses so you can empty them every year for the spring time babies.
