How to make wire sphere

Buy some fine wire and wind around a beach ball, when done, pop the ball.

I would wrap wire around a rubber ball. Then pop the ball and remove and continue with adding wire.

You can actually do this over a thick balloon in the same way. If you want to get latitude and longitude lines, you need to measure and draw the lines on the balloon. Then direct the wire along the lines, taping them to keep their shape. To make the horizontal lines, start a new piece if wire, twisted around the longitudinal line at the place indicated by the lines drawn. Use a separate piece of wire for each line is latitude. Pop the balloon and handle your wire sphere gently. Attach a hanger, and spray paint the sphere as you wish. 😇💖
