Painted up and Ready to Hit the Porch! Sylvester and Tweety Hat Rack.

I had to repaint this 2 1/2' foot tall statue or toss it and my husband said no tossing since it was his. The plaster statue was made and painted in 1975 by an old Navy buddy of my husband's. I used regular latex paint samples, $2.60 each for yellow paint for Tweety and brown paint for the base. I had the other paint samples from refinishing my Nebraska Cornhusker gnomes. Yes my husband is a Husker fan. 2 coats of paint and many touch ups later it was ready for 3 coats of spray on clear gloss urethane. He now is proudly sitting on the porch ready to hold any visitor's hat on his head.
Sylvester and Tweety all cleaned up, repainted and ready for display.
Before picture with paint and supplies I used.
His grungy not so white feet and not so black body.
Feet are white an his nose is the red it's supposed to be.

I had my husband pull color pictures from the internet so that I could get it right.
