Are you ready for an AMAZING transformation? I couldn’t wait to dig into the entryway of this house. I was SO ready to give it a face lift and make it bright and inviting.

Remodel

Unfortunately the front door was damaged beyond repair according the pros, so we had to purchase a new one. We still wanted natural light to shine in but didn't want to spend a fortune. So we went shopping!

Remodel

This was the house of bi-fold doors. There were three sets just in the entryway alone. Crazy huh? They were the first thing to go and we replaced the all the trim. Luckily we were able to keep all the beautiful crown molding though. Interior brick flooring is a big deal here in Texas, so we decided to keep it too.

Remodel

This is what the original light fixture looked like before I got a hold of a can of black spray paint! Haha!

Remodel

Welcome to our new and and improved entryway. Come on in and stay awhile!

Remodel

We were thrilled to find this unfinished solid wood door and ordered right away. It's a good thing too, because the first came in wrong and had to be reordered. Oh the trials of remodeling!

Remodel

We not only installed a new front door but we also added a new closet door as well. To cover all the outdated wallpaper, we surrounded the space with shiplap and painted it Extra White. It adds so much character and light to this area. A great way to welcome guests!

Remodel

And this is what it looks like now! Who needs to buy a new pendant light when there's spray paint, right?

Remodel

I really wanted a small entry table but after spending a few weekends looking around for one with no luck, I asked my hubs to build me a floating shelf. It takes up very little room but yet gives me another place to decorate and to warm up space.

Remodel

With all the bi-fold doors removed, you can see straight through to the backyard as you enter the house. I LOVE it!

Remodel

And here's yet another pillow cover I just had to make for the season! If you've read any of my other posts lately, you'll know what I'm talking about. Haha! You can never have enough pillows! At-least, that's what I keep telling my husband. I have a lot more photos on my blog and you are always welcome. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask away, I'm always happy to share information! Happy fall y'all!!!

Open to the front and back of the house causes rushing energy thru your house ...called rushing chi in feng sui. “Rushing” chi, which doesn't flow smoothly, can cause you to feel misdirected and scatter-brained and can exhaust your energy. Encourage chi to flow, but don't permit a “rush” of chi into and out of your home. That feeling of being disorganized, unable to focus or stressed is due to the “missed opportunity” of chi leaving too quickly. Chi can be slowed down with some stratigicly placed plants, mirrors, & art/ photos on the walls.

Funny I have always disliked straight paths from front to back doors...too much sight for peepers, lol.
