    While driving home today I saw these on the roadside, but were white in color, are they weeds or yarrows? I just have stopped to take a picture!

    Could be yarrow, but most likely you saw Queen Anne's Lace. It is a native wild flower. I dug mine up near Mansell Rd in Alpharetta about 13 years ago. They do not transplant well, but luckily mine lived long enough to set seed. Some people may think of these wonderful biennials as a weed, along with Ox-eye daisies and wild Asters, but not so to those that adore flowers.
