My votes are tile for kitchen bath and wet areas, solid hardwood for dry places.
I'm with KMS....the cork floor is guaranteed not to stand up to the abuse from your "little" lap dog... :) I know KMS isn't a big fan of it, but don't hesitate to look at the better laminates that will hold up to your dog. Tim
Solid wood flooring is really the best. Just choose a wood that is hard. It will scratch, regardless of what wood you choose, But with proper nail trimming on dog you should be fine. One last
I have an 80 pounder with all tile and laminate downstairs. Took a short while for the dog to figure out her footing wasn't the same as before...but she got used to it...
