Installing a New Wood Floor

My husband wanted to replace the carpet in his mancave with wood. What a job it ended up to be! We had to remove the entire subfloor, add new joists, lay down a new subfloor, then finally were able to install the wood. After three back-breaking (or at least back-hurting) weekends, we are now done! We used prefinished Acacia hardwood and love the look!
Complete!
We had to remove all of the subfloor. Talk about back breaking work!
Lots and lots of sheets of new subflooring.
The first two of forty rows!

It looks like your bonus room is a lot like ours, actual room mostly over the garage, stairs hooking up with main living area of house. How is the noise level since you have traded out the carpet for hardwood?
