How do i clean up tile glue left by the contractor?

My contractor left a mess when he remodeled my master bedroom. Glue on the tile floors and walls. What will remove it? Also paint drops everywhere.

  • Call them back and have them fix, it is their job. Was this person licensed? Lodge a complaint with the Contractors License Board. If you paid them, why? Job isn't done to client satisfaction. I would give him one chance, in writing, to come back and fix everything before going after his license and suing . . .

  • I completely agree. You should not have to clean-up after a contractor!

Definitely agree! That is part of the job. Call him back and demand that he finish the job. Get in touch with your village hall, the media., the state license department, the BBB. Never pay until the job is done. Pay a deposit of only 35% at the beginning of a job and the balance when the job is done. That is what I always had done when I worked.

Have you paid the final payment? I would ask for the mess to be cleaned up, even if he has to hire someone to do a good job. I would look into filing a claim against the contractor if he has received final payment and gives you a hard time. That's poor work.

Agree with all above, and then if he doesn't fix it, I would give him a bad review on Yelp, Angies' List and Houzz, and Better Business Bureau, and the state contractors licensing board.
