I think I promised this tutorial almost a month ago – I’m sorry! I just haven’t been too excited about editing the video, it seemed like so much work! But I finally got around to it, and I’m glad I did. I think the video gives some good tips and advice on how to use Antiquing Powder and why I like it.
In this tutorial I show you how I used Fiddes Wax with Blue Minerals Antiquing Powder (in French Cobblestone) to create a subtle aged look on the Stephanie Set I finished a few weeks ago. I love this set and the way it turned out. I got so many compliments and questions from friends and neighbors while I was working on it. The pictures really don’t do it justice! you can read more and watch the video tutorial on how we created this look on the blog: http://whitecottageboutique.com/using-french-cobblestone-create-subtle-aged-look/
I wish the photos showed the aged look a little better. It's hard to see, but the light gray has settled into all the small cracks and worm holes making them pop. I also left it in some areas to make those areas seem more aged and worn
This is what French Cobblestone looks like up close.
