Clean granite sink

My sink is black but It has water spots on it. I clean with granite cleaner, it looks nice until it gets wet, then dries dull. We have water softener because of hard water. Help !!!!

    Sounds lIke it needs to be re-sealed. If youā€™re not a really handy fixer-upper you should probably call a professional.

    Home Depot sells products that clean and seal your sink. The cleaning alone will make a difference but the sealing is a must. Not a hard project, just can't use the sink for awhile.

    If the counter top is real marble granite, it will take de greaser , Clorox, baking soda, and should not harm the granite . I use regular Palmolive ans leave it for five minutes and wash it. No stain. If it is synthetic, it is another deal . Backing soda is great for this

    I have the same problem. I have found that using an oily substance makes the sink look polished. You can use mineral oil, cooking oil, etc. My favorite is Orange Glo. I rub it on with a paper towel, and it cleans, shines, and smells great!
