Turn an old Farm Table into a Plank Topped Table. Perfect for Outdoor Dining.
A Free To Me Farm Table got a makeover with Found on the Road Wood Planks.
These planks literally came off the side of the road. They were wood used to hold down large loads on a truck. I cleaned them thoroughly, then sanded them smooth.
I attached them to the top of the Farm table with wood screws. When they were secure, I used a circular saw to cut each end to overhang the original top and extend the table top length.
I sealed the boards with three coats of a Marine Grade Outdoor Polyurethane. This hard wearing top coat protects the wood from rain and sun damage.
