My favorite repair fillers for damage is Bondo or Epoxy stick. The fillers once cured could be sanded and painted.
I used colored caulk in the same shade as counter top. It dries with a shiny finish like the laminate. My saw jumped when cutting too. Fill in the grooves and wipe away excess.
