I have used these reflectors on stakes or poles.... I have found that by using a pipe or even a large diameter screwdriver (my husband cringes when I do this) to start the hole, I get it deep enough so the reflector can't fall over.
Or attach them to mailbox post at different heights with duct tape. Be sure tape overlaps , so it sticks to itself and wraps up and down as much as you can.
Stick them into ground close to edge of drive way & in front of mailbox or if you have 2 one on each side. Ones for drive way make shore they are head light height.
Take small 2/4 hand size and put it on top of reflector after you poke it in the ground a little. Tap lightly with a hammer to sink it into the ground deeper
Could zip tie them onto stronger poles. Strong black zip ties, black poles or white w/ white, which ever color they already are & I bet it wouldn't be that noticeable. Trim the end of the ties off.... looks better.
If you have strong winds in your area, the only permanent solution is to dig a hole and use cement to secure the reflectors.
