Probably one because the fresh concrete would adhere to the cured. I would suggest placing something between the two if you're wanting two separate pieces. Good Luck! :)
you will wind up with two pieces. It may look like a solid piece but there will be a weak spot in the concrete. It is best to fill the mold all the way up.
One piece with a weaker joint between. Breakable, but if there is no stress, i.e garden border, it'll be fine
