Hot pizza box sitting on a wooden kitchen table and discolored table
The wood has discolored a whitish color from a pizza box with hot pizza in it. How can I get the discolored area back to normal?
One thing right now in style is the farm house look. Use several shades of something say gray and paint them so they are overlapping, almost a layered look of partial gray, dark gray and light gray .
I don't know the size/shape/style of the table, but for an industrial look you could cut a piece of cement board underlayment. It is usually 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and comes it 3ft by 5ft sheets (and cheap). Your will need to seal it with a cement countertop sealer or multiple coats of acrylic polyurethane. It can be held down with double faced carpet tape.
You don't say what kind of table? End/coffee table, dining table? If it is damaged you can cover with a sheet of brushed metal and paint black or gray legs. Rustoleum has a pretty nifty milk paint look spray paint and you can spray the whole table and glue metal, mirror squares, etc. or try Unicorn Spit paint, decoupage almost anything onto the top. Maybe you could make a small edge and fill with small rocks, colored rocks, glass pebbles, etc. and pour over epoxy for a shiny look.
