soap and water and a scrub brush or magic eraser.
Just give it a good wash! If Terra cotta, the color will "age" over time.
look for a product called "lightening bolt" I would suspect it has a few years of kitchen grease, this will degrease it, allow it to air dry, then try using Hydrogen Poroxide to brighten it.
Wash it in soapy water and then let thoroughly dry before using.
I just spray with degreaser and scrub with a sponge with abrasive side and wipe clean. I have also soaked them in the sink.
