You have to get professionals, who know how to contain the fibers and keep them from going airborne and getting into the heat and AC ducts. Why do you want to remove it?

maybe you can run an alternate route for your water lines and seal off the old galvanized lines otherwise it will be expensive

I agree - this is a job for professionals. Very dangerous otherwise. If your school budget is tight maybe you could have a bakery drive or other fund raising event? Is there a popular local celebrity you could ask to help get the word out?

The asbestos needs professional abatement and disposal.. by law.. and the galvanized pipes need to be addressed by a plumber.
