I live in an A-frame and I do not have alot of storage or space so I was thinking maybe shelves was a good solution but I'm not sure.
I would mount them on a board painted, use tile mastic to adhere, let dry flat, then add the boards to the border. This way when you get sick of it, you can take it down without destroying your drywall.
makes sense to me... you could also cut holes in the board with a hole saw and glue them in with Gorilla Glue then finish the boards with Spar Varnish (developed for use on boat masts and spars) or Marine paint for the dampness.
you could also make a towel rack using the bottle necks... just give them extra support by using a dowel fitted to go inside the neck and into a wood plank backer ... for those over enthusiastic towel hanger-uppers.
Both are great ideas. Here are some more. Hope it helps.
