Hole in the wall entrance
Hello, I have this hole in the wall of the main entrance of my house and do not know what I can do?
If it's in the budget, paint the brick white, and put up black wrought iron, black planters for flowers and black shutters. Paint the door something fun like red or cobalt blue.
I would add a row of bright solar garden stakes along the walkway up, and add a motion detector porch light.
Light it up! Solar lights, light strips, reflective pieces (yard art), bright colours all should help
Hello Anon, Try to light it up as much as possible. Use landscape lights up the walkway. I'm not sure solar lights would be bright enough. You may want to consider electrical lights. Use a high watt light bulb in your porch light. You could add more light in plants, greenery or decorative porch mini trees. I like your idea of adding bright colored iron work too.
Paint the ceiling a bright white. If the floor is concrete you can paint or stain that a light color, maybe tan, to reflect more light. Adding an interesting exterior rug would draw the eye away from the dark brick. Add interesting plants, objects, chairs, etc.
