Glazing opposed to caulking

I have some old fashioned windows that are leaking air. In the past I have always used glazing to repair. Is it possible now to use caulking instead? If so, is there a certain kind? Thank you, Mary Ann Paulson

Put glass in windows using putty then finish with glazing beads.....
I use 100% silicone acrylic caulk instead of glazing. Any major brand is good.
I agree that 100% silicone acrylic caulk would be the way to go and you get in clear and just about any color besides.
