Soap and water. It's easier if you can rinse with a hose.

Hi Bonnie, I use a solution of 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water, with a drop or two of dish soap to spray on the toys, then hose them off and rub them down. Keep this solution away from plants because it's similar to the natural weed killer (although there is a lot less vinegar).

Make a mixture of white vinegar and water 50/50 and add a dab of blue dawn dish soap

Set up a toy wash with the kids. A bucket of soapy water (Dawn original dish soap and water) and some sponges and scrub brushes. Let the kids have a fun time with earning coins or candy for each toy they get clean.

I agree with both vinegar and water and Dawn dishwashing liquid. After you clean it, Rustoleum has a product called Wipe New that will bring it back to its original color (if it's faded).

I always use a 1 to 3 part bleach solution to clean the toys and sanitize for the next summer
