We need any advice on painting a stained faded front door.

The door is very heavy and would be difficult to handle. I think it is called a cathedral door. It faces the east and is 13 years old so it needs something done to it.
Front door that needs to be painted.  I need a better picture.  Looking for one.

Sanding.. First wash off excess dirt with little bit of Murphy's oil soap. Sand the door. Wash again. Then repaint? Is the door carved or have engraved detail?

That's a beautiful door. I'd paint it a driftwood color to go with the brick exterior. You just need to clean the door good then lightly sand it down to give it some "tooth" and use a coat of good primer then a couple coats of your favorite paint.

Tina, Thank you for answering so quickly. The door is not carved or engraved detail. We will sand the door and then use the oil soap as you suggested. The problem is we cannot take it down. It is heavy for us old folk to handle. Thanks Tina.

Beautiful wreath. With your bricks, I would choose any beautiful color except brown. My faves are royal blue, teal, and coral. I would choose your favorite color so that it makes you happy to see your own front door. 😇

Thank you Jewell, I made the wreath for the fall season and I am pleased with it. I was thinking red for the door. Our problem is we have to paint it with it still hanging in place. Not going to be easy. Thanks again
