An indoor potted evergreen is very hard to keep watered. But it can be done. Be SURE to keep it watered and moist.
2 options:
1. keep tree living and move into house each winter.. If that's your intent, I'd suggest potting your tree in an oversize pot and putting the pot DEEP into the soil during warmer months.
2. Get a small live tree and plant it Permanently in spring... my Mother (In NJ) did so some 25+ years ago-- the blue spruce is still there!
