What's best to get rid of mosquitos around flower bed areas?

We have a couple of flower beds that have flowers and lots of other plants. We ALWAYS seem to have a lot of mosquitos every year. We don't want to disturb our butterflies so have been reluctant to spray with store bought treatments.

misqueto bits. They come as granuals and as dunks. Granuals in the yard, dunks in wet areas...like water barrels, buckets. They are a citrus base. Misqueto breed in still water...buckets, gutters that are clogged, puddles that won’t drain for a few days..eliminate as much water as you can.

Mosquitoes flourish where there is standing water. Make sure there are no containers of any sort with rain water standing in them. If your area is prone to swampy or wet climate, you might consider plants that help repel mosquitoes. Here is a site that lists 10 such plants: http://www.infobarrel.com/Top_10_Common_Plants_that_Repel_Mosquitoes_and_Other_Insects

Clear your area of debris, mosquitoes can breed in a pile of wet leaves.
