Seal it with concrete sealer and paint with concrete paint, but I will warn you - I did it and it lasted about a month before it started chipping.
This is one project I've been looking into doing as well, I'd start with a good primer and base coat and use a stencil that is specifically for tile, i think these are more durable for excessive use and the sizing is perfect. After you've done your stenciling, make sure you seal it with a good durable topcoat. I'd love to see pics when you're done.
