Has anyone done tile mosaic inside their bathtub (not shower stall)?

I want to mosaic my bathtub (not shower stall). It's a large, jacuzzi type tub. The problem is, I don't know what base/foundation I can use so the tile sticks since the surface has no "teeth". The instructions I've found, none specify the foundation, they just go into the artistic part of the project.

If the jacuzzi tube is fiberglass... I am not sure it would work... too many holes and curves... the mosaic tiles would have to be really small.... like penny tile.. a construction adhesive like Liquid Nails might work to carefully (work one sheet at a time) apply the tile and then once the glue has cured thoroughly... grout as usual over that... you would have to sand the fiberglass to give it the tooth and it would also have to be cleaned really well to get rid of any soap scum or residue...

And BE AWARE... this would be a one way trip... that once the tiles are applied... and if you don't like the results... your only option at that time would be to replace the tub.

i would vote against that, the shape would be the challenge in laying mosaic on a tub.
