Tip for no wood filler

no wood filler? drying out to quick-quick solutdion: mix some sawdust with wood glue and voila! wood filler. also, a trick i was taught by and old pro. need paint a side of wood that has been exposed to the elements: use the white roof coating (we use here in Arizona) as a basecoat/filler and it makes a wonderful base for a coat of paint.

    Great suggestions. They were both familiar to me. But I never have any sawdust around. Then I went to the board cutting area in Home Depot with a Baggie I took with me. The man back there wouldn’t let me in the cutting room because of liability, but he took the Baggie and filled it up for me in less than a minute. I now have enough sawdust to make wood filler for life. Cheap me! 😇
