There’s a good chance “how to clean blinds” won’t address the cords. I’m going to guess you mean the cords holding the blinds together. The cords opening and closing and lifting the blinds can be cleaned with diluted bleach or diluted hydrogen peroxide. If your blinds are white then you can clean the connecting cords the same way. If you have colored blinds, test the ends of a couple of blinds with the cleaner you choose to see if they get stained, faded, or lose their paint or dye. If the blinds are color-safe, then use the bleach or peroxide for the attached cording. If the blinds are not color-safe, then just use sudsy water on the whole thing and dry as you go. Turn the blinds by the cord (or plastic wand) from front to back and you can clean both sides from the room side, not the window side. 😇

NhhHHi Sheri! Take your blinds down carefully and place a large towel in the bottom of your bathtub. Then spray them with a can of Scrbbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner. Use a wash rag to clean each slat. You can also use a very soft car brush if you own one. This is a time consuming job, but it works. If you have a hand held sprayer in your shower, you can rinse the clean side off, and then turn your blinds over and finish the other side, as well as the strings. Remember to rinse the soap off well and take your blinds outside to dry by laying them on some clean towels outside. Hope this help!

To clean white cords, use damp Baking soda on a damp cloth. Rub up and down the cords a few times. Works great and no dangerous chemicals?
