Porcelain Tile In Walkway in Wisconsin

Can I use a non-slip porcelain tile installed on an appropriate stone sub-base and screeded sand base on a walkway at my home in Wisconsin. I found a tile that will not be slippery, is 1/4" thick and extremely strong, so I doubt if it will crack. it will be laid like pavers with only self locking sand.

Is the tile recommended for outdoor use?
Porcelain will break during the cold temperatures. It is not made for outside use.
