Can stainless flatware be silver plated or made to look like silverpla

Silver has a nickel base. The expense to attempt to silver plate stainless would be outrageous. You can't spray paint anything that touches food. The best you could do would be to paint only the handles and then never put them in hot water or the dishwasher. Sorry, in my opinion, not worth the effort.

Agreed, I don't think it would work. Check yard/estate sales for silver plate at a good price.

You can buy kits to do this. But sets of silverplate flatware are relatively inexpensive as people do not want to care and polish them. Stainless comes in various shades of stainless. The more expensive, the lighter it is and looks more like silverplate.

Thanks for response. I️ couldn’t come up with anything either. I️ was trying to mix stainless with my antique silver plate Have more guests for thanksgiving than planned for. 😀
