CLEAN the area with rubbing alcohol & dry with paper towels or toilet paper. If your sink is white, use white caulking spread around it with your finger & blend smoothly. Let dry completely before using your sink for anything. At Lowe's, there's a paint product that's used specifically for tubs, showers & sinks that will help it be less noticeable when repaired. If it's a gaping hole, it will have to dry overnight before using, then paint & dry. Hope this helps.
