Should Lantana be cut back to the ground for the winter?

Have multiple plants that border one entire side of the house, do not want to risk losing them.

I don't know about cutting it to the ground but I prune mine back to about a 4x4 ft rounded square. I want it kept to a corner of my yard. During the rest of the year I let it go and it, of course, spreads and covers other plants. I also trim the top down about a third of the way, it has a tendency to mound. hope that was helpful.
Lantana is a cuss work to Florida citrus growers. It is extremely tough. A tiny piece of root will start again. Cut them back to shape them. If you have some spots of bare soil between them, Put the pieces in a hole to encourage growth.You didn't give location. If you get freezing weather, cover with thick mulch and cover with plastic until spring's last frost.
