First determine where they are getting in and fix that area. Then try an all natural solution. Goggle it for examples.

You have to treat all outdoor areas, foundations, windows, make sure there are no visible cracks they are crawling through

  • I just sweep them up and take outside. My girlfriend vacuums them up. Peppermint oil will help.

spray with ammonia (hold your breath) or use cleaning vinegar (again hold your breath). Both will kill spiders and insects and will freshen the house. It takes very little to kill bugs.

Go to OLD FARMLAND, where farmers planted Osage Orange Trees. There are many. They did this to ward off various insects, mice, etc. that would harm crops like their wheat & grain fields. These trees are full of large needle thorns, & are the ugliest, "witch looking trees" I have ever seen. Once you recognize one, you will wonder how you missed it. You will see the Osage Oranges laying on the ground, before you spot the trees. They will remind you of something you only see in a movie. The fruit literally resembles a lime colored brain, markings like that of a humans - with the squiggley puff lines, weight & size of a no-smell baseball, about a 1/2 lb. weight in your hand (which is the actual fruit they bear, & drop to the ground, usually in very late October range, each year). This is when you go to get them "off the ground". Just take a couple buckets, so you can share w/ your friends. Your pets will not bother them, nor will they hurt your pets. They say you can just put one on each level of your house, but I always put one in each have room, in an inconspicuous spot, on a paper towel, & leave it til next year. They will not hurt your floors, carpet, etc. Also put a couple in your basement, or crawlspace, & inside your garage. They will dry up, shrink, turn black, & only weigh the weight of a ping-pong ball, eventually! Do not throw away. Leave, until you replace them, next October. You will have NO SPIDERS, CENTIPEDES, ROACHES, MICE, etc. no where! This is Natures best, most harmless, NATURAL, FREE REPELLANT you could ever ask for. I was surprised to see them being sold at flea markets, hardware stores, farmer markets, etc. for a buck a piece! Even at Eastern Market downtown Detroit. Go to Campuses to find them, too! I use to go to Holly & Highland, MI in the country, right on main N. Milford Rd., & Fenton Rd., but am finding them right here at the University of Michigan Campus extension, right here in Detroit / Dearborn. The City was farmland at one time, too! Google it in different places, they all have a wealth of info! Been using, & sharing for years! Shayne Sisco, Detroit
