When the cacti are in the sun, they're okay, but when we put them in the shade, they get infested with white flies. Is there a solution that I can spray onto the cacti to get rid of the white flies?

Cactus need full sun,why are you putting them in the shade. Re-pot in fresh cactus soil and spray them down with horticultural oil

Thank you, Janet. If Esther's solution doesn't work, I'll try yours.

I've also sprayed plants with a solution of water mixed with a few drops of Dawn dish soap. Worked on my lantana. But I agree with +Janet Pizaro; cactus need more sunlight & not much water.

To catch white flies in the garden, take yellow plastic of any kind or you could paint a board yellow and when dry paint it good with oil. They are drawn to yellow. You can also use food oil for the white fly catcher.
