Should you trim off your mums in the fall?

  • I constantly "deadhead" mums to keep them blooming. If that is what you mean by trimming, then yes! Certainly trim away.

    Yes its a good idea to trim them back in your area. Then cover them in a loose straw for the winter. Remove the straw in the spring and your mums should look great come the fall :)

    no,just dead head them,they will die down on there own.Next spring when they are half way grown,then cut them down. That forces them to produce bushier plants and more flowers
