My Christmas cactus has been dumped out of the window 3 times this summer. I have relocated it. What is the best way to insure it does not die?

Dumped out of a window? Have you re-potted it in cactus soil,where do you have it?
I have mine indoor. I potted mine with soil that is exclusively for succulents. I only water once a week.
When was it re-potted?
the biggest thing is not to overwater as it will slowly rot.
