Outdoor block wall decoration?

I am decorating my ugly block wall in the back yard to make it look like terra cotta/adobe and then I will paint south west motifs. Does anyone have advice on products/ techniques?

If it's made of cinder blocks, I have painted them with outdoor house paint and had no problems with the paint... it does required at least 2 coats of paint as the blocks tend to absorb the paint.

I'd paint it white, and they use décor products to hang on it rather than painting pictures on it.
