Kitchen cabinet shelving

I am in the process of trying to convert a long box into a kitchen cabinet and am determined to do this myself. I just need some instruction on building the shelving inside seeing as it will eventually need storage .

My cabinets with shelves all have those clip strips in them, so I can adjust the shelves as needed. It was a great idea 35 years ago, and I still recommend it. this way I can have a lot of low shelves or a few high shelves. They look something like this: http://www.cabinetparts.com/c/shelf-hardware-pilasters-and-clips

The strips? You nail or screw them to the inside sides of your cabinets, making sure that the slots are level. The strips have slots in them for special clips (that come with the strips), and you just pop the clips into the slots where you want your shelves. then your shelves will rest on the clips. Our cabinets are 36 years old, and the strips are going strong. Much easier than nailing the shelving in place, plus they are adjustable. Just be sure to make some extra shelving to match, in case you want more shelves later.

If you still need more ideas here's one more. Buy or use a small piece of peg board. Make it the size where you want your shelves on each end. Put a screw at the top & bottom of the peg board to hold it in place, drill the holes on the ends of the box. Then you can buy 'shelf pegs' at the hardware store & you put these in the holes & then lay your shelf across & these hold your shelf in place. It is really easy!
