Dixie Belle Paint will adhere to linoleum with a light scuff sand! You can re-face the whole floor with one of our beautiful colors, we off 60 Amazing colors, and suggest a top coat of Gator Hide to finish and seal.
I would check on line to see if there are any remedies that work. Try Utube.
This is a very heavily trafficked back entrance. The floor here has been painted (Benjamin Moore floor paint) for over 30 years with only one touch up. I believe the tiles are probably asbestos as they are very old. Painting is easy and even if foot paths emerge a touch up is not much work. Good luck and use floor paint.
This link will give you tons of ideas and some things that have actually not worked, which can be helpful, too.

Consider getting a large in area rug in an accent color to cover some of it up, and add some color.
