How do I get mineral Streaks out of a toilet bowl? Tried everything .

Hi Diana, Have you tried denture cleaning tablets? Place a couple in the bowl and let it fizz over night. If it's really bad stain, it might take a couple applications.

Have you tried pouring CLR in the toilet bowl before bedtime and leaving overnight? and then try to scrub with Bar Keeper's Friend?

get a pumice stone at your local hardware store.

Get the water out of the toilet and try Mr.Clean magic erasers,or lime away.

I use a pumas stone purchased at Walmart. Just put it on the streak and scrub. Only thing I've found that works. Afterwards keep the bowl clean with regular cleaner.

This is the answer I gave to someone who had urine stains on the water line in the toilet bowl: People had suggested various vinegar, bleach, baking soda, etc. that did not work, not even after soaking for hours. The answers above on your site, might work, but this is the one I found worked for me:

You might have hard water which leaves a thin, invisible layer of lime deposit at the water line, which gets stained. I tried variations of the solutions above, but they didn't work on the lime deposits, (and they took hours). Finally, I turned off the water line to the toilet, flushed it twice, and then used a single-edge razor blade to scrape off the lime. If you want, you can use some food-coloring or stainy juice, to see if you got it all, but you may not need to. You can feel when the blade hits the deposit, and when it glides smoothly again. It won't hurt the porcelain which is harder than the razor blade, which has some give to it. (I have used stainless steel scrubbers. which help, but to take off the thick deposits, start with the razor blade and then use the scrubber for the lighter, subtler stains.) Follow that with some Dawn and vinegar solution on one of those sponges that have a plastic mesh scrubber. The whole point is to get the porcelain smooth again. Turn the water back on and flush. You won't have t do this very often, and if you use some Dawn-and-Vinegar when you scrub with the toilet brush, the detergent and acid-vinegar should help keep the lime deposits at bay. If they build up again, do the razor-blade thing again, but I find I only have to do this every couple of years if that.
