I have a self-watering pot in use right now. It's nice because you never have to wonder if the plant needs water. Another self-watering trick is to use a cotton shoelace. Place one end in a glass of water and the other end in the soil of a plant. The plant will "drink" the water through the shoelace. It must be cotton to work.
:O Is that true???? Amazing trick! Thanks for sharing!
There are glass balls with a long spout. you fill them up and stick the spout in the pot. it waters them for if i can remember correctly 1 to 2 weeks.
my cat tried to eat the shoelace. The other cat knocked the dish of water over. I have used old baking pans with racks in the bottom to hold plants and put a wick thu a drainage hole of the plants.
