My white artifical Christmas tree is turning brown. How can I refresh?

Spray with fresh flocking?
Spray paint or reflock with artificial snow.
Spray it with White Snow from a Can......
Was it originally flocked, or were the "branches" the smooth, shiny white type?
An idea that would be less messy than spraying it, would be to decorate it using red or gold garland/ribbon/decorations only. Using red only lights rather than clear, would help disguise the brown areas.
It would give you another year of service before maybe being "put out to pasture" and being used as an outdoor only tree next season.
