I know there is something I have around the house that will end this, but I am unable to remember what it is.

  • Puppies chew especially when teething, distract them and make sure they have lots of other chew toy items.

I found a spray once in walmart called SHOO! and is the best for cats and dogs. You can also spray it in cloth (living room furniture) and it won't ahrm it.

The only one that I have found the best is hot sauce in a spray bottle. I have had puppies in the past that like to chew on wood furniture and this worked like a charm. I just put it in a spray bottle or even painted it on with a brush. Coat it good and reapply if necessary. Watch for new chewing areas until the pup gets the idea it will burn no matter where he chews. I hope this helps, it can be a destructive problem!

There is a product called Bitter Apple. Just spray it on and if the pup chews it will get a nasty taste.

My dogs all loved the Bitter Apple. I am with Nancy Turner - the hot sauce (the hotter the better) worked well, although it is visually unappealing, I was more concerned with keeping the woodwork during puppyhood! So far, I have only had one dog that loved hot sauce -- LOL.
