How can I restore the shine to my acrylic bath?

I foolishly used an eraser sponge without checking if if was suitable for use in my bathtub icon

Whoa, bummer. I would have used the Mr. Clean sponge too even after reading the instructions. Look for a product called Gel-Gloss Kitchen and Bath Polish. I think that is your best hope.

I don't think it is possible, but you could try to claim from the insurance ..........

Most posters do not have a location associated with their name and I did not notice where you are. Looked on Amazon UK and indeed Gel-Gloss is not there.

There is another product that may even be better. HG Laminate Gloss Coating. May not get you back to new but it will improve. Hope it works well for you.

Checked Amazon UK and unfortunately it is not. Does say on the product description that it contains carnauba wax. Perhaps a high-quality car wax would be worth a try. I used car wax on the porcelain steel tub if one of my bathrooms and I have to say it really sparkles. No problem with making it slippery either.
