A lot of the super glue type adhesives will not stick to metal, it has nothing to stick to because it is so slick. Go to an auto parts store and ask them what is best to use for that situation.

The make a special glue for those rubber gaskets, Seal-All Contact Adhesive & Sealant, gas and oil resistant. Most auto stores carry. I would order a new gasket and replace as the glue is just a temporary fix.

You need to use rubber Contact cement. Clean the old glue off with nail polish remover. Spread contact cement on the gasket and door where they go together. Let the contact cement dry on both until tacky to the touch. Then stick the gasket onto the door. Line them up good. Once they make contact you won't be able to move or remove them. Any excess glue can be rubbed off with you fingers or nail polish remover. Tape off any areas around the gluing spot when using the nail polish remover. It will damage paint finish.

I had a brand new ford with this problem. The seal on the door was fine, there was just a space big enough to cause whistling. I put weather seal (self-adhesive) on the body frame in that indented area (really), it worked, and it stayed on for 15 years. Make sure the frame is clean and dry before you try this. $7 fix. No one ever seemed to notice it, and I never had to replace it.
