Paint, add cabinets, rearrange furniture if possible, add over the door hooks for jackets, add storage for shoes and coats, add a supply cabinet (shelving unit), take a wooden table cut in half attach back half to wall and front half will still have legs. Makes a nice laundry folding table or just gets stuff up off the floor.
A cabinet right over the washer is great for large laundry container, just pull out a little and push the button. Paint and decorate for fun, it helps.Here are a couple pics.
